 Chigure
or Chegir are the the main instrument played by Ashighs usually
accompanied with Balaban, Dayreh
Ashighs are professional players of either Saz(Sorna), Davool(Dohol),
Balaban, Dira(Dayreh) and Chigure or they can play all these
instruments are used in the same party and close music system but
timing and pairing is different.
Saz and Dohol are paired together and played in outdoor and tunes are
specific for a ceremony such as Henna ceremony or dressing Bride or
moving bride Toawell known Tunes are bridegroom in house or when
group kerchief dance or halai or combat dance. The most popular tunes
are kurughlo, Grayli "rasta and GharakhanBut...The Chgure Is
usualy Paired with Balaban or sometime Dayra and the chigur players
are the Ashighs If The Kurughlo and Grayli which were played in Saz o
Dhol is just for warm up But in Chigure these are the main Theme of
a complete story of the party guests who danced or enjoyed whole day
gather in room or sometime in public square and they become audiences
to listen to the story told by the Ashigh.The story teller Ashigh the
one who plays Chigure
He walks across the room back and forth narrates story and sings the
conversations between the characters of story
these stories usually are Kurughlu and Negar his lover and his
struggle or romantic story about Shah Esmaeel (King Ismail of Safavid)
and his lover Pari or Shasenam and Gharib or tragic stories even or
any other story by and poems recited by ashigh
